We were excited to be invited by Aston Martin in Pangbourne to see the new DB12 at their showroom.
As always, there were various meet points all over the south and subsequent convoys into the venue. On arrival, we were welcomed by the Aston Martin team who showed us around their fabulous showroom (which is in the process of being extended, their inventory of sports cars and of course, the DB12.
As well as the DB12 there were plenty of other new, modern and classic models to see too, such as a splendid and are Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, new V12 Vantage, DBX707, Casino Royale era DBS and much more.
We were delighted that one of our club members swapped out their choice of Ferraris to instead cruise down in their 1927 4.5l Bentley 3!
A delicious breakfast was laid on of sweet and savoury crêpes filled with the choice of a multitude of different ingredients. All washed down with a variety of hot and cold drink choices.
We learned that Aston Martin is entering a new era, and it’s going to be epic! The iconic British carmaker has recently unveiled a bold new brand strategy and logo, and it’s clear that they’re ready to take on the world.
Aston Martin – a new era
At the heart of the new Aston Martin is a focus on “Intensity. Driven.” This means that everything the company does, from designing and building cars to marketing and selling them, will be focused on creating an experience that is both exhilarating and addictive.
One of the most visible signs of the new Aston Martin is the new logo. The iconic wings have been given a contemporary update, and they now look more sleek and aerodynamic than ever before. The new logo is also hand-crafted by artisans in Birmingham’s jewellery quarter, which gives it a touch of luxury and exclusivity.
But the new Aston Martin is more than just a new logo. It’s also about a new way of doing things. The company is investing heavily in new technology and new products, and it’s committed to creating the best possible experience for its customers.
We were delighted to learn more about this iconic British brand and get a glimpse of the futuristic design strategy that is evident in the new DB12.
Here’s a little analogy to help understand the new Aston Martin:
Imagine that the old Aston Martin was like a classic British gentleman. He was polite, reserved, and always well-dressed. But he was also a bit stuffy and old-fashioned.
The new Aston Martin is like a young British prince. He’s still polite and well-dressed, but he’s also more adventurous and outgoing. He’s not afraid to take risks and try new things.
The new Aston Martin is for people who want to live life to the fullest and experience the best that the world has to offer. It’s for people who are driven to succeed and who want to make their mark on the world.
On final reflection, it was, as always, a great opportunity to get together and have a relaxed catch-up with existing friends, as well as make new ones.
Thank you Aston Martin Reading for all your hospitality on the day and we’re delighted to hear you’d like us to return.
Thank you to our whole team that put this together and facilitated the event behind the scenes.
We now look forward to reporting back from our next event which is at Southampton’s only 5 Star Hotel, for more driving and more fun.
