A private and intimate tour of the inner workings of this legendary motorsport factory!
Who hasn’t driven up the M40 and lovingly looked across at the huge Prodrive factory and thought ‘Oooooooo, it would be great to find a way inside there!!’
It’s less a factory and more a high-tech playground for automotive wizards, isn’t it? Nestled in the heart of Oxfordshire, this place is where automotive dreams, often of the rally-bred variety, come to life. Picture a spot where cutting-edge engineering meets the raw, visceral thrill of motorsport.

Inside, it’s a bustling hive of activity. You’ll find a symphony of whirring machines, the scent of carbon fibre, and the constant buzz of brilliant minds all working together. If you listen carefully, you can almost hear the echoes of Colin McRae sliding a Subaru through a Welsh forest.
They’re not just bolting together bits of metal; they’re crafting automotive masterpieces. Prodrive tackles everything from building world-beating rally cars to developing advanced sustainable technologies. You’ll find teams working on composite materials, designing intricate aerodynamic solutions, and fine-tuning engine management systems.
They’re like mad scientists, but instead of creating monsters, they’re creating automotive legends. And let’s be honest, those legends are often just as wild!

One minute they might be developing a bespoke carbon fibre part for a hypercar, the next they’re working on a sustainable fuel solution. They’re always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and they do it with a healthy dose of British ingenuity.
It’s the kind of place where you can find a state-of-the-art simulator right next to a classic rally car, a testament to their rich history and forward-thinking approach. It’s a place where they appear to be able to make anything, if you ask nicely and have a very large cheque book.

They have a bit of a reputation, too. They’re the ones you call when you want something done properly. Need a rally car built that can withstand the harshest conditions? Prodrive. Want to develop a cutting-edge electric vehicle system? Prodrive.
They’re the go-to guys for anyone who wants to take their automotive ambitions to the next level. They’re the automotive equivalent of a Swiss Army knife, but one that’s been given a serious performance upgrade.

Needless to say, we weren’t allowed to take many photos inside this top secret facility but somehow this just made it even more special!
It was fantastic gathering in the lounge together for lunch, and trying to nail a fastest lap on the Ian Callum (yes, the chap famous for designing possibly the finest looking Aston Martin’s of all time) designed simulator!
No one took that seriously of course 😉

A huge congratulations to all the participants and the the individual team winners which included Tonia T, Martin B, Peter B & Mark B!

We’d like to thank all those that participants that came along but special mentions to Andy M who helped arrange the event and to Michael Guy who captured the below event photos with his camera!
