Day 1 | Newbury to Snowdonia

Drivers Briefing

First of all, the majority of participants met at Podium Place, Newbury for a drivers briefing by tour veteran Stuart Stinson and the rest of the Four Marks Tours team.

Then after complimentary bacon rolls and hot drinks, we hit the road and headed north to our first stop….. a private castle of course…

This beautiful and privately owned castle was the perfect backdrop for our stop and an inevitable photo opportunity.

After a leisurely break, we were back on the road with the next stop for some was outdoor go karting! There was no competitor spirit at all, of course! 😉

It was mixture of boys and girls behind the wheels and real mix of racers and cruisers! You know which ones you were!

After a spot of lunch at the track, we were once again heading off ever north.

The scenery just got better and better the more we travelled northward. Gorgeous passes weaving in and out of the hills.

As the sun went down, the landscape and view just got more emotional and more jaw-droppingly beautiful.

The Watering Hole

As we approached the hotel is was time to visit the watering hole for our trusty steeds. Every petrol station attendant’s dream, this one!

Once at the hotel it was time to kick back and relax before dinner. Some took to the bar to reflect on the day’s driving and scenery.

Day 2 | Snowdonia to Newport

Morning Driver Briefing

After the morning briefing from Stuart and Hans, we split into two teams, each with a lead car.

Eyes struggling to keep wide enough to take in the scenery and glorious driving as we made our way south through this beautiful country.

Delighted to get stunning photography of us across this privately owned wooden bridge.

It was the end of day two and we arrive in Newport where our 5 star hotel awaits. This grand hotel has previously hosted the Ryder Cup and the worlds NATO Summit.

5 Star Hotel Accommodation

This, a huge spa hotel, for many was an opportunity to get in some relax time using the facilities before dinner.

Private Dining Suite

Dining tonight was in our own privately reserved suite. Nothing better than grub and banter at the dining table!

Day 3 | Homeward bound via Cheddar Gorge

After a leisurely breakfast, it was time to get in the cars to head home, but the trip was not over yet! Many decided to head through Cheddar Gorge in convoy (see event video below).

Some bought cheese, some bought cider, but everyone agreed that we’d had a beautiful experience and that we were all looking forward to the next one!
