What an extraordinary day we recently shared—one that truly underscored the exclusivity and prestige of being a Four Marks Supercar Club member. We were deeply honoured to accept a rare and truly privileged invitation to visit the renowned CALLUM Designs studio and, better yet, meet the legendary Sir Ian Callum himself!

The day began in true Four Marks style: a magnificent meet-up of our supercars followed by a fantastic private reserved lunch. The sight of our cars, granted dedicated reserved parking, was the perfect overture to the main event. Post-lunch, we made our way to the studio. For those unfamiliar with design royalty, Sir Ian Callum is one of the most influential automotive designers of the last fifty years.
He is the creative force responsible for penning some of the most iconic and beloved sports cars of our time, including the Aston Martin DB9, the original Aston Martin Vanquish, and the ground-breaking Jaguar F-Type. Seeing the vehicles he designed lined up outside his studio added another dimension to the experience entirely.

Sir Ian Callum’s storied design career began after graduating from the Royal College of Art, leading him through several influential roles that defined modern automotive aesthetics. His early work at Ford Design in the 1980s saw him contribute to cars like the Escort RS Cosworth and the seminal Ghia Via concept, but his profile truly soared during his tenure at TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) Design in the 1990s.
Here, he was responsible for legendary vehicles such as the Aston Martin DB7, which is widely credited with revitalising the entire Aston Martin brand. He followed this success with the muscular Aston Martin Vanquish and the smaller, critically acclaimed Jaguar XK (X150), establishing himself as a designer capable of blending classic British elegance with aggressive, contemporary style.

The defining chapter of his career came when he took on the role of Director of Design at Jaguar in 1999. Over two decades, Callum led the total transformation of the Jaguar design language, moving the brand away from retro styling and into the modern era. His influence is visible in almost every Jaguar produced since then, most notably the stunning XF saloon, the powerful XJ luxury sedan, and, perhaps his most famous creation, the beautifully proportioned F-Type sports car.
Since retiring from Jaguar in 2019, Sir Ian has founded his own design and engineering consultancy, CALLUM Designs, where he and his team continue to push boundaries, creating bespoke projects, innovative products, and further cementing his legacy as a titan of British design.

The visit inside the studio was an absolute masterclass in automotive artistry and engineering. Sir Ian and his talented team welcomed us warmly, discussing design philosophy and future projects. NDAs signed and no photos inside the design studio of course means no juicy inside photos we’re afraid.
The highlight for many members was truly personal: Sir Ian graciously took the time to hand-sign several of the members’ cars that he had previously designed, turning already valuable vehicles into irreplaceable pieces of motoring history.
As if that wasn’t enough, two incredibly lucky members won a gorgeous Mulberry bag, and another walked away with a highly sought-after special edition whiskey in on-the-spot competition.

The camaraderie was fantastic, and the day was a huge success, culminating in a truly exciting piece of news: Ian and his team have enjoyed our visit so much that they have already extended an invitation for us to return in 2026! If you’d like to be involved in these rare, money-can’t-buy, and truly exclusive events—the kind of opportunities you simply won’t find anywhere else—then you need to be a Full Member.
