For our opening drive out event of the year, we decided to head to Haynes International, which was formed to look after the wonderful collection of vehicles, automobilia, library and archive first established by John Haynes OBE in 1985.
It was a relative small group of club members that braved the freezing cold January weather!
The Museum is home to the UK’s largest exhibition of cars and motorbikes dating from 1898 up to the present day. Housed within 15 exhibition areas, the vast collection spans everything from the birth of motoring and nostalgic classics of the 50s and 60s to glorious Bentleys and Rolls-Royces and stunning supercars of modern day.
We had arranged a special VIP reserved parking paddock for our guests to ensure their cars were kept safe whilst the our members enjoyed the venue.
Highlights include the famous Red Room, the Veteran and Vintage collection and The American Dream Hall, containing everything from a Duesenberg Model J to a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
After a leisurely wander around the impressive museum, we were able to kick back in the museum café for a light lunch before departing.
