We look back at our visit to Supercar Fest | the Hill on the 29th of August 2021 where we travel to Worcestershire to a tiny place called Shelsley Walsh.
Shelsley Walsh is home to the oldest motorsport venue in the world still to run events on the original course and is older than Indianapolis, Le Mans, or Monza!
A gorgeous venue steeped in history and echoes the sound of old-school motorsport as it used to be.
But first, we go back to the night before where the stage was set for the largest dining experience the club has ever sat.
The Night Before
Set at Stanbrook Abbey, we had exclusively booked the former church (which is more like a cathedral) as our dining hall for the night.
Time flies when having fun and before long it was time to get dressed up ready for the pre-dinner bubbly.
Dinner welcome drinks set the scene as the early evening sun started to go down. Club members gathered in the former church and on the terrace and gardens.
It was time for the grand dining experience and the room looked absolutely epic all set out for 50 of our members.
After our epic meal, we moved to the after-party in the bar. There may have been shots 😉
Supercar Fest – the Main Event
It was an early start and it was time to head to Shelsley Walsh in convoy. It was a spirited drive through the countryside as the excitement built.
We had set up the night before so as we arrived we already knew we were heading to the closest and most prestigious paddock, right next to the hill climb (and the champagne bar!). Perfect and only the best will do!
Next up were club members heading up the hill. It was an exciting opportunity to see club members on track and demonstrating their, and their car’s ability!
With hospitality given to all FMSC hill climb drivers, we were well looked after by the event organisers.
Another mega event comes to a close and we look forward to Salon Prive next weekend!
