Salon Privé 2021

At Blenheim Palace

Four Marks Supercar Club Logo

September marked the final month of the car show season and the highlight of the season is always Salon Privé, set in the magnificent grounds of Blenheim Palace.

This year we were offered a prime positioned paddock adjacent to the hill climb on the north lawn between the grand courtyard in front, and the beautiful lakes to the back.

Our temporary new home for some 150 Supercars on the Sunday.

This prime spot also allowed us access via a separate entrance from most of the other car clubs, which included a beautiful 2 mile drive through the estate and over the lake bridge.

On arrival, club members could see our now famous Spaceship Marquee towering in the distance making our paddock unmistakable.

This driveway later became the hill climb section which meant guests to our paddock enjoyed up close and personal viewing of all the excitement.

Once parked up in our paddock, club members were able to gather in our members-only enclosed chill-out zone opposite our marquee.

This year our marquee was home to our resident DJ Atif (aka Dr Gekko), who joined us courtesy of club sponsor Zebra Home Cinemas.

He was spinning chilled out tunes throughout the day and really added atmosphere to the event and our paddock area.

By lunchtime it was time for our annual awards ceremony where club members gathered to watch. Our compère, club member Phil S was ready to entertain us with his whit and one liners before announcing each winner to the various awards up for grabs.

The final award of the day was the coveted Premier GT ‘Car of the Show’ award which this year went to Duncan B and his spectacular and rare Ferrari F12 TDF in Blu Electrico.

After the awards ceremony, it was time for those with picnics to kick back and enjoy the warm weather (the opposite from last year where people wrapped up in warm coats!).

As the sun went down and with any event, eventually the day comes to a close and it was time to wrap things up. However, for some, the evening was only just starting.

A bunch of club members headed into Woodstock for drinks on the terrace, followed by a fantastic meal at the local Italian restaurant where the banter continued until after dark.

The perfect end to a wonderful weekend.
